Getting started… We first must determine what your goals are. Without goals, we are powerless. Do you want to get stronger for volleyball season? Do you want to lose a few extra pounds? Do you want to look like Superman or Wolverine? Tell me what your goals are and then we can pinpoint what we need to do to help you achieve them.
Is this for me? The short answer is YES!!! If you like to have fun, learn something new, and get healthier, then yes, it is for you. Are you looking to become better at a sport? Are you looking at being able to pick up your grandchildren and set them on your lap? Are you looking at being able to do a half-marathon with little notice and limited run specific training? Then, again, YES it is for you.
This program can be done by children and seniors alike. The program can be modified and adjusted for any person wanting to be stronger, quicker, more powerful, and healthier. We will focus on form more than anything. You will thank me later. Form over speed and intensity as I have learned over the years. We will ramp up the intensity as the movements become easier and more technically consistent. The training works for high school athletes, salespersons, retirees, fire fighters, and housewives. You are getting personal training for half the price.
You won’t see a lot of machines at Westwood Strength and Conditioning, unless you are talking about the athletes doing the workout. If you want the opportunity to catch up on your favorite TV show as you run on a treadmill, then WSC is not for you. If you want results that will last, in a fun and friendly atmosphere with people whom you will soon call close-friends, then you have come to the right place. We know when to push you a little bit harder than you want to. Our goal is not to hurt you or make you sick. We want to make you the best possible you that you can be. You are a machine just waiting to be unleashed! Let’s let the big dogs run…
What to expect… We will say hi to you every time you come to class. We will run you through a warm up. We will go over the skills needed for the workout. We will start and complete the workout with us giving you technique cues, when necessary. We will stretch out and do mobility afterwards with discussion about different topics such as nutrition, the workout, the skills learned, etc. Each class will take about an hour.
How do I sign up?
We are doing personal training currently and we are starting our next WSC Boot Camp soon. The WSC Boot Camp is 4 weeks long, 3 days a week (M,W,F) at 5:30pm. If you are interested in joining our Boot Camp or personal training, please email us or give us a call. We would love to meet you!
