Hello Blog readers.
We have been a busy bunch over the last couple months. Sorry for the delay. Every job just seems to be more of the same. Some jobs are easier than others, but mainly just staying busy is the key. Keystone Carpets has definitely held up its fair share. There are times when we get to a house and start pulling up the old carpet and pad and find things we really don’t want to find. I’m sure you can imagine some of those things. (hint: they usually involve pets and odors.) We recently pulled up the old carpet and pad from a 1940’s house. By the pictures below you can see the surprise that awaited us. Yes, that is original linoleum. #Awesome…
We have had big job after big job this last week. All of our customers are replacing the flooring in their whole house. We greatly appreciate the business and will do everything in our power to make sure our customers are completely satisfied with our work. The before and after pictures from a recent basement we did really does not do it justice, but you can get a good idea. We pulled out and disposed of the old stained berber carpet and replaced it with a beautiful patterned cut and uncut berber carpet with a 10# pad. It is a fantastic job, if I must say so myself.
We also installed 520 sq.ft. of a dark hickory laminate in the upstairs of which I forgot to take the after pictures for. Booo me…
Anyway, thanks for checking out our website keystonecarpet.net and blog post.
Good afternoon. It has been a busy few weeks for us here at Keystone Carpets. We have traveled all over the region pulling up old carpet and installing new flooring for our customers. We have been to Addy, Suncrest, South Hill, Harrison, Hayden and Post Falls, ID, northside, southside, east and west. All of these jobs have been challenging and sweat inducing, but the final results on all of them have been happy customers. They are getting the flooring they need in an extremely timely manner.
Very few jobs take more than a day for our incredibly hard working installation crew. Myself, my brothers-in-law, Jeff and Eddie, and my father-in-law, John are the ones you will see when we sell you the flooring you want. We are the installation team. Most companies have 1-2 workers on any job, we have 3-4 on every job. If you need a job done right and quickly, while also getting the best bang for your buck, then give us a call at 509-467-7000.
Thank you for your time.
P.S. Before and After of a room in Spokane Valley. The after picture is before vacuuming. Did I mention that we vacuum the rooms with the new flooring?
We have been able to hang out with our friends more lately. Always a plus. We have also been able to get out of the house and do some wondering around the local area. We have been to Riverfront Park, Riverside State Park, Beacon Hill, Greenbluff, Knipprath and Arbor Crest Wineries. We have enjoyed our time together as a family. I have not been able to do these things over the last few years and I miss it tremendously. Without my father-in-laws offer to be more integrated into the business, Keystone Carpets, I would not have had this opportunity to spend this time with my family, and for that I am thankful.
I have also had the chance to learn new and interesting techniques in installing carpet, vinyl, LVT, and laminate flooring. Always learning.
Our great customers decided to cover up the stained concrete with some new carpet. The noise was just too much. What a lot of people don’t understand about hard surfaces is that there is more echoing in the house. New pad and carpet will not only decrease the echo, but it will increase the comfort and warmth of the house. So, if you are having thoughts about covering up your basement floor, you might think about putting in some new pad and carpet.
Thank you for your time.
And thank you to our wonderful customers!
We finished up a job on Friday. Actually, we completed the job a few weeks ago, but our wonderful customers decided we had done such a great job that they invited us back to do the other bedrooms that we didn’t do the first time. It is surprising just how often this happens when new flooring is installed. Thank you for having us back to help make your house beautiful! The picture shows Jeff using a power stretcher in the master bedroom.
Update: We have finally finished up the move to Spokane, change in career on multiple levels, and am now ready to get back to it. I haven’t trained anyone for quite some time and I need to. I have the equipment and the know how. Let’s get something done.
Anyway. The house is coming together. Our garden is starting to blow up. Our grass is being mowed often by myself and family. the kids are home all day now for the summer. Hmm… (Home schooling next year is a possibility…) Carpet and flooring is being sold and installed. I am reading Dave Ramsay’s- Total Money Makeover. YEAH! A good time is being had by all…
This weekend was a good weekend to start working out again. 6 months is much to long to be away from the weights. This weekend I ran a total of 3 miles, did 100 pullups, slowly, multiple sets of 20 situps and pushups as needed to keep myself awake while learning about military intelligence. Anyway. I am rambling and nothing seems to be making much sense in this post. I’m still going to publish it. Take that, The MAN!
I’ve missed you all. Have a great week.
